Thoughts Before The Final Stage

Eh, I'm still not quite sure how to go about this properly. Yeah, it's just me contemplating what could happen in Code Geass; but I've been having a hard time doing it. I've tried posting some theories before, but I deleted them. Meh. I gotta stop beating around the bush and just do it. Just to let you know, what I'm about to mention is totally my opinion. Also, I can't really comment on much yet, except for the possible casualties and Freya. What can I say? There are too many questions and too much going on.

Okay, first of all, I can see the series ending in one of three ways: World is destroyed/everyone dies, world is reset, or bloodbath with some survivors. I think out of those three choices, I'd rather go with the third. Sure, I could go with the second option, but that's just cheap. I've always found that plot device cheap. Same for the first option, but I think the chances for that are slim. If they did that, Sunrise and Taniguchi will have a lot of pissed off fans to contend with.

Nonetheless, I am expecting a whole lot of war casualties. My definites are: C.C. (obvious), Charles (ditto), Rolo (pretty much confirmed for 19), Jeremiah (cyborg), random BK/KOR/Royals, Xing-ke (sick/weak) and Nina (I'll get to her in a moment.). I think everyone else has a 50/50 chance, give or take. Meh. As of right now, I'm already dreading the inevitable loss of Asahina and Rolo. Chiba pretty much damned herself or Tohdoh in the last episode, too. You just don't tell a person that you have something you want to tell them after a battle/war, in an anime series.

I have to do a little paragraph about Nina and Freya. I mentioned in the latest episode post that I can't support her further. I've been hoping that she'd be able to redeem herself in some way, but I just don't see it happening anymore. Naturally, the bomb is gonna go off; we've known that for a long time now. And I'm very sure she just signed her own death warrant, when she told Lloyd she wanted it mounted on Lancelot and have Suzaku be the one to fire it. Now, I know Lloyd used the "Contradiction" line before with Suzaku, but I could tell a big difference in his expressions. He meant the same thing to both of them, but I think he's a little more serious with Nina. Besides what he was getting at, I could almost sense something along the lines of, "Screw with any of my children, and you're dead!". I'm not just saying this because I'm a Pudding-tan enthusiast; but if Freya doesn't kill her, I'm almost sure that Lloyd will. He gave Nina the chance, and is partially responsible for Freya as a result. I'd find it rather fitting if he did the honors. In fact, I'd love it if he did, but that's just the Lloyd fanatic in me talking.

I guess that's all I can really comment on, for now. If things were ugly before, then what's about to happen is going to be much worse. I guess I should consider getting a huge box of tissues, 'cause I'm gonna need it for sure.

Geass R2-Turn 16

This episode...wow! It was awesome! There was a lot of stuff going on that really made me happy. There was also some stuff that pissed me off, but the positive outweighed the negative. Nonetheless, this episode is setting us up for the final stage.

First, I have to mention the kickass scene that everyone's talking about. Yes, I'm talking about Kallen laying the smackdown on Suzaku. I've been waiting for someone to knock some sense into him, though I'd prefer it be one of his closest allies. But Kallen worked well, too. Plus, I've been wanting to see her do something other than be a prisoner and do nothing. The girl's not just a fanservice target, you know; even though that's what she's used for. Still, it was awesome, and I'm satisfied.

Finally, after a couple of long, hard weeks, Lloyd and Cecile have some screentime! They were working on the Guren...a little too much. According to Nee-san, they got carried away and "I was in hobbyland when I came to my senses." So she says, while blushing. (Hmm...the Lloyd/Cecile shipper in me thinks that there was more going on than just tinkering with the Guren. Could that be why we haven't seen them working on it? -smirk-)

Anyhow, the main point of their scene was that Nina wanted to add her Freya to the Lancelot. Noone really likes the idea, either. Suzaku's conflicted about mass-murdering his own people, Cecile's worried about Suzaku, and Lloyd's Lancelot's mommy; so we all know where he stands. I gotta say, I'm not liking this. In fact, I'm at the point where I don't think I can stand up for Nina anymore. I did like that Lloyd gave the "Contradiction" line again, though. (His expression...wow.) Not only will it kill Suzaku, but her as well. I'm certain she's not making it out alive, but I still don't know what or who will do her in.

The whole UN thing was epic. Two lolis, 48 nations, and epic speeches. Even some of the scenes leading up to it were awesome. Tohdoh getting his makeup done by Chiba was pretty amusing, adding that they were at a hotel with a double bed prior to this episode. Tamaki getting drunk and hanging on Asahina made me smile. Speaking of Tamaki, he's officially the janitor to the BK. Asa-hii on the other hand...I'm guessing I should start preparing a memorial post for him. T_T And it looks like Diethard has something on Ohgi, because the latter looks very uncomfortable around him.

I'm still not sure what to make of this other side of C.C. I liked the snarky, cynical C.C., but this is the real C.C.. The girl she was before she was given the Geass. It makes me sad over what's happened to her. At least she rediscovered her love of pizza. According to Lulu, Sugi was the one who made the pizza. X3 Was Sugiyama a pizza boy before he joined the resistance or something? He's too pretty for that kind of job, though.

A few more random notes before I get to the Checkpoint sections: Jeremiah calls Lulu, and it says "Orange" on the monitor. XD Still can't totally get away from your nickname can you, Jeremiah. Then, later, he calls Guilford and he's like, "Orange...kun?". Eeee! I hope this leads to a reunion with Cornelia! Oh yeah, Rolo with glasses! (Glasses fetish FTW!) Luciano...really isn't worth the Straight Cougar title. I know Cougar can be a pervert, but I don't think he'd rape anyone. Gino ended up gaining a little respect from me for stopping him, too.

For the main checkpoint, I'd like to call attention to the BK party. I've already mentioned some of the dorkery going on, but it's better if you see for yourself.

I tend to have the same expression as Asa-hii, when I get into similar situations.

Is Diethard getting a little lonely without Zero around?

Of course, I couldn't end the post without some Team Lancelot fangirling. For today, my inner Lloyd/Cecile fanatic had to have a little fun. I blame it on Cecile's blushing during the Guren talk. XD And I had to get a dig on Nina, while I was at it.

Anya: ::Today, Earl Lloyd and his assistant were talking about their sex life.::

Nina: But Lloyd-sensei, I thought you preferred Knighmares over people.

Lloyd: -twitch- At least my sex life isn't limited to a fetish for furniture.

Geass R2 Turn 15

Just when I think things couldn't get any worse for everyone, someone has to prove me wrong. Man! Ryvius and Scryed were weaksauce compared to all the shit going down here! And I don't see Geass taking an anti-acid anytime soon, either. (Lame joke, I know; but I couldn't resist!)

Okay, so most of the episode revolved around C.C., her wish, and her past. I already pretty much knew what her original wish was, but I didn't expect her to also wish for true love. Anyhow, long story short, she was originally a slave girl from the Middle Ages, and she obtained her Geass from a nun. However, the nun tricked her and gave her the immortality she possessed.

Now, about that nun...only Lloyd is allowed to say "Zan-nen deshita!" in such a way! It's one of his catchphrases, dammit!

Moving on, I guess I'll take back what I said about Charles being Geass' equivalent to Martin Zigmarl. I don't think the commander would've taken V.V.'s immortality to benefit himself. As such, I guess that means that V.V. is dead. Meh, I expected it anyway.

I really don't get Villetta, sometimes. She needs to make up her mind already! She obviously loves Ohgi, but her stupid pride is getting in the way. She was actually going to kill him, until Sayoko showed up. Poor Ohgi, I really don't see this ending well for him. (Not to mention that it was confirmed by Madono-san that something bad would happen to him.) He took Sayoko's kunai for that bitch! Then again, she did jump off the cliff with him. Such a troublesome couple!

Jeremiah...to think I hated you for so long! Now I totally adore you! Even after what Bartley and his men did to you, you say that you'll respect them; for their loyalty to the royal family. You have become a man of true honor.

I'm getting concerned about Suzaku. Yeah, he needed that slap more than anything, but I really didn't like that he punched Kallen in return. I guess it's better than actually using Refrain on her, though. And I think it's too late to think you're stooping to Zero's level; because you crossed that bridge long ago and then some.

Finally, Nina completed the nuke. I knew it was coming; even Shiratori-san said it was. But, out of all the other stuff that's happening, I think this worries me the most. I've heard rumors and speculations about the nuke and what could happen. (I really don't want that rumor about Asa-hii to be true. That's my nickname for Asahina, by the way.) I don't even want to think about what this could do to Lloyd and Cecile. Schneizel mentioned something about "The one we're deploying on Lloyd's Camelot and Suzaku's...". I might just be jumping to conclusions, but if he's talking about what I think he's talking about...they are so screwed! -shivers in fear-

I really didn't know what to do for today's Checkpoint; so we'll have some shameless action with the bishounen duo of Schneizel and Kanon.

Schneizel looks so evil here, while Kanon has that uke-ish look of concern.

Okay, who is he really the successor to: Akio or Char?

-Perks Up-

I just saw some scans and summaries for a new Diamond/Pearl mini-arc. Now, while most people are going gaga over a Monferno and wondering who it belongs to, I have something else I'm fangirling over.

-takes a deep breath-

KOUHEI~~~~~!!!!!

Yep, the resident shota of my glasses harem is making a comeback! When I first saw the summer school thing, I thought it would become a boring filler episode. But when I found out that it was going to be a mini-arc with Kouhei, all criticism went out the window. Heh! Forget the Monferno! Kouhei's got more than enough awesome to go around!

Ahh! It feels so good to fangirl over something again, even if it's a minor Pokemon character. I don't think I've actually fangasmed much over anything for awhile now. Sure, I have Geass, but the recent lack of His Puddingness makes Aya a sad fangirl. They've been so mean to him and Cecile with screentime issues. Screw Gino and Anya, I say!

And before I forget, I have something else to add. Now, this is Geass-related, but it also kinda relates to Kouhei; due to the seiyuu. I found out something very interesting about Kanon, yesterday. Apparently, Kanon is canonly (Pun totally intended.) gay and has a crossdressing hobby! I've been giving him the benefit of a doubt about the gayness, but it looks like my suspicions were confirmed. So, I guess he really is Schneizel's man-whore after all. I almost wish that they would do another crossdressing Picture Drama, just so I could get an idea of what Fem-Kanon would look like. (Not that he doesn't already look like one, of course. Androgynous bishies FTW!)

Geass R2-Turn 14

So, Rolo really was the murderer. I was pretty sure, but I needed confirmation. You know how Sunrise is; don't ever take anything at face value. He ended up making it look like Shirley committed suicide. What gets me is that Suzaku didn't want to believe it, yet Shirley almost jumped off a building prior to that. Then again, he just didn't want to believe it.

Lelouch really is a good actor. It took a lot of guts to regain composure and praise Rolo for what he did. If the murderer of someone I was really close to just walked up and admitted killing said person, I'd go insane on them. You know, even though Lelouch is becoming what he hates, I can't totally disagree with the extermination of the Geass cult. It's like with Allelujah; he gave the children a mercy killing and bestowed punishment on the researchers. I'm not totally sure if "mercy killing" is the best term, but there was no choice anymore.

Suzaku, on the other hand, I really just don't know what to think of him. I never really "got" him, I guess. I want to like him, but I can't. I can tolerate him, but then he proves himself to be royal bastard. Sure, in a very round about way, Lelouch is responsible for Shirley; but Suzaku actually thinks Lelouch murdered her. And if he does pull the Refrain on Kallen, then I've lost what little respect I have for him. It would be like Ikumi raping Kozue, almost. (Bad example, since Kozue=Shirley, but Suzaku is definitely spawned from Ikumi.) He's delusional. He seems to want every opportunity to hate Lelouch, and make himself look like a saint. Someone, please, knock some sense into him!

I want to know what exactly went on during the phone conversation between Villetta and Ohgi. I'm kinda with Diethard on this. And, even though I know Ohgi's a nice guy, I'm afraid that he might betray the Black Knights. I know I remember Shiratori mention something about a "White Brigade"; so could this be the beginning of that. Too bad I won't be able to get more out of him. Poor guy got in trouble for saying too much. ^_^' (When I read that, I got an image of Cecile beating up Lloyd.) Digressing again. Now, I'm not too surprised that Diet is going over Zero's head. He's done it before, with getting Kallen to attempt an assassination on Suzaku. (Heigar did stuff like that, didn't he? I really should go back and re-watch Ryvius.) He needs to be watched for the moment, though.

V.V. is one messed up kid, and I use the term "kid" loosely. At this point, I don't know who the final boss will be. It might be him, or it could be Schneizel. But, I don't actually think it's going to be Charles. I know I compared V.V. to Mujo from Scryed, last week, but it was mostly due to his psychoticness...and some minor physical traits. Right now, I think Charles might be the Martin Zigmarl of Geass. I even thought that when Lelouch looked like Ryuho, when he ended up face-to-face with Charles. As for the real Mujo, I'm betting it'll be Schneizel. Except I still think he's more of an Akio Ohtori than a Mujo. A mix of the two, I guess.

Jeremiah has definitely won my respect. He's completely loyal to Lelouch, and he saved Cornelia. I'm almost sure that Cornelia won't join up with Lelouch, but it would be so awesome if she did. Then, he would have two badass former members of Britannia on his side. Three, if you count Guilford; who will follow Cornelia to the ends of the earth. And yeah, Cornelia's tank was awesome. Reminds me of Kanaria's mech from Macross F.

For today's checkpoint, I'm gonna focus on the more angsty aspect of today's episode. You know full well that I never cared for Shirley, but the other character's reactions broke me up. I do feel a lot of sympathy for Shirley's mom, losing her husband and her only daughter in the span of a year is heartbreaking. And Rivalz...I just wanna hug the guy sometimes. He may not have an actual purpose, but he does get by with being cute.

But I think my favorite reaction was Nina's. As much as I don't want to admit it, she and I aren't too different from each other. No, I'm not a racist table-macking lesbian. However, I'm a withdrawn, lonely, geek-girl, with a tendency to become unhinged when things go to hell. She wasn't even fond of Shirley, yet she even cried over her. In that way, she's even better than I am. And I love Kanon so much. If they weren't hung up with their (supposed) homosexuality, I'd totally ship those two. He could help Nina to heal, I know it.

I understand you Nina. I really do.

Just Another Angsty Post. Move Along.

I wish I had my own ambiguously gay man-whore to comfort me, right now.

Yeah, I guess I was right. I really shouldn't have gone with the others to see Grandma, today. No, I didn't break down at the nursing home. I brought one of my notebooks and some drawing supplies, to keep me occupied. Yes, it was hot, but a cool breeze came in later on. Apparently, it was raining somewhere else. Despite my discomfort with the situation, I kept my cool. I even gave her a big, long, hug before we left.

Now, afterwards is a different story. We ended up staying at the house for a while, for Aunt Lynne to catch up with Grandpa and the rest of the family. (Aunt Lynne is the one staying with us, this week.) When we got back, I kinda went into a state of withdrawl. After all the shit that's occured during the past few days, my mind couldn't take much more. I guess you could say that I was channelling Lulu from Turn 7. Anyhow, we ended up staying at the house longer than I would've liked. Not only was my mind shot, but it had little-to-no air conditioning. Great. My trauma switch is turned up on high, it's my second day, and there's no cool air.

Anyhow, I ended up with a little breakdown. I went into one of the bathrooms and cried for a few minutes. It didn't even last as long as I wish it would've. To be honest, I haven't cried nearly enough over everything as I should have. I've been swallowing my emotions, like I always do. Trying to take everything like a man, when I'm really a woman. Just a cowardly, submissive, woman. And at one point, Dad had the gall to tell me to stop being overdramatic. Okay, I just lost someone, I went to see my grandma, my hormones are out of whack, and I'm in pain. How the Hell am I being overdramatic?! I hate men sometimes. I really do.

So, They Really Did It

Yep. I just finished watching Stage 12 in English, and they kept the table scene in. Not that it was all that explicit in the first place, but wow. I'm quite looking forward to tonight's conversation. I just know Adverb's gonna say something about it. (He never believed me when I told him Nina was a lesbian for Euphy.)

And I just adore that morbid moment between Lloyd and Suzaku. They're practically in an outdoor morgue, and Lloyd's being his usual cute self. However, he does have another pretty good line about Suzaku's BS ideals. I always loved that "...embarrassing theory on what justice is." line. I also had a good laugh at Lloyd's "Dug enough bodies out of the landslide yet?". Tactless, much? Yeah, but we've come to expect that from him.

Putting Geass aside, I'm still feeling a little down. I found out that I am most definitely not going to be able to attend anything, sadly. However, Mom and I are going to try and come up with something to give Pat to keep in her office. A memorial of sorts, if you will. Also, I want to try and see the ladies at some point, it's the least I can do. They'd be happy to see me, and I'd be happy to see them.

Also, I applied for a clerical job for the school district. Full-time paraprofessional, but I have no idea where they would put me. Just wait and see, I guess. It's better than working in a nursing home kitchen, anyway. I have no idea why Mom would even think I'd apply for something like that. Personally, I felt insulted by it; after what's happened with Sandy and what's going on with Grandma. I probably wouldn't be amongst the residents, but I'd still feel really awkward. But, I digress. I'd rather play it safe and do clerical work for people that I know. And who knows, I could be put into McMillain. I could see the ladies every day, then. But, I have to actually get the job, first. >_>

I think we're still going out tonight, but I don't know where. It's up to Jake, but I kinda hope he picks someplace that serves alcohol. I'm gonna need a drink, tonight. And if not, I do have some wine coolers in the mini-fridge, still. Even so, I'm still limiting myself to one. I'm not gonna use all this as an excuse to become like how my Dad is on a nightly basis.

Anyhow, I'm not sure when I'll be making the Turn 14 post. It'll be up before the end of next week, for certain. With that said, I'll try to enjoy myself at the wedding tomorrow night. I need some fun-time in between my moments of despair.

My Secret To Cheering Up

Okay, so, I had a really crappy day. My friend died, I've been pms-ing, and I'm spending Sunday visiting my Alzheimer's-ridden Grandma in the middle of nowhere. Yeah, everything has been sucking, today. And I finally cried a little, even if it was in the midst of trying on shoes. >_> I get so embarrassed if I cry in a public place. Hell, I feel embarrassed if I cry in front of other people at all.

However, I've started cheering up a bit. And what did I do to make myself feel better? I had a wine cooler, and sang a bunch of Keroro songs. Really, those platoon songs are really fun to sing! Not that the non-platoon songs aren't fun, of course. But I never get tired of hearing the Keroro Platoon sing, for some reason. Especially the crazy OP and the cute ED with the platoon puppets. X3 Seriously, when the opening line of a song is "Do you throw away your socks with holes in them? Don't do such a wasteful thing!", you know you have a winner; especially if it's sung by Jouji Nakata.

And I also saw the recent Keroro raw, too. Now, I haven't gotten to see any of the Musha Kero episodes prior to this, so I had no idea what I was in for. All I knew was the platoon was wearing ancient Japanese outfits. Well, this particular episode was an awesome twist to the swimsuit-manzai contest. It was mostly about Giroro trying to help alternate universe Natsumi win the contest. First off, if Natsumi was more nicer like Onatsu was, I'd like her a whole lot more. Anyhow, some of my favorite moments were the platoon stuffing their faces with grilled squid (And Kururu's Ika Curry!), Giroro's facial distortions when thinking about Natsumi/Onatsu and running off (I like to think he's running off to "let off some steam" kukuku~), Giroro in a woman's swimsuit and then a loincloth, Giroro cracking up at Natsumi's lame joke, and Kururu's snicker at the end. Also, I have to post two pictures that totally cracked me up.

For the first time on TV, a Keronian without his hat!

Yeah, hat-less Giroro cracked me up more than it should've. In the only volume of the manga I have, he gets bandaged up and doesn't have his hat on. Then again, he's got the bandages around his head. Still, I find it hilarious. And Tamama looks way too happy with his swimsuit.

The best manzai team on the beach?!

Okay, I have a story about this one. I was already in a weird mind set, because Keroro just puts me in one every time I watch it. Now, during the ED, the camera slowly pans out on the picture. While it was focused just on Giroro and Onatsu, well, something looked funny. You see how the foam from the waves comes up around Giroro's loincloth? Yeah...something like that. It doesn't exactly help that part of his loincloth is bunched up in a rather interesting way, either! KUKUKU~!!! And you gotta love bloated Tamama and Kururu relaxing in the background! Ah, I am so looking forward to the Kururu episode of the Musha Kero arc. Tamama too, of course, but then there's Momoka. Sorry, I no like Momoka.

Wow, I didn't mean for that to become a Keroro episode post, but who cares! I don't do enough Keroro fangirling, these days. I blame it all on Geass, which is true. But when Geass is over, it's back to G00. (Still not liking Lyle replacing Neil as the new Lockon. T_T) Well, tomorrow's Stage 12; the beginning of the Shirley/Mao arc (-groan-), Nina's table dance (I'm pretty sure they're going to show it. They had the magazine in the preview, anyway.), and we get another one of my favorite Lloyd-isms about Suzaku's ideals (Just another one of many reasons why I love the guy.).

Well...It's Not Like I Didn't Expect This

I woke up to some bad news, this morning. One of the ladies that I worked with, during my cafeteria stint, died on Tuesday. Mom knew about it yesterday, but I didn't know until this morning. Anyhow, Sandy was one of my closest co-workers; I even consider us friends. In fact, I consider everyone of the ladies in the junior high kitchen to be my friends, but Sandy was the first I befriended.

The thing is, I've been expecting this for a long time. You see, she had cancer, apparently for a really long time. I think she even had it when she and Mom met. I remember during our cleaning day before summer break, and the other ladies were talking about how her condition was worsening.

I knew I should've gone to see them during cleaning day, this year. I wanted to, but I didn't think that I could; seeing as how I'm no longer employed by the district. And I don't even know if I can go pay my respects to her. I should and I want to, but I don't know if I can. Tomorrow we're celebrating Jake's birthday, Saturday is church pictures and Nicole's wedding, and we're going to visit Grandma on Sunday, which will be an all-day affair. This just bites! I want to be there, but it really doesn't look like I can. Sure, I could send a sympathy card to them, but that's not enough. It's just not enough!

I am just at a loss, right now. I know I'll be fine in a couple of days. And if I can do something for the other ladies at the junior high, I'll do it. I just need some time.

So...Inuyasha=Allelujah?!

Yeah, I saw the cast list for the Meisters, yesterday. My initial reactions were: "Brad Swaile for Setsuna, huh? No surprise there. Never heard of the guy doing Lockon. HUH?! Inuyasha's doing Alle's voice?! I can hear him as Halle, but Alle? Sam Vincent for Tieria...that could go so many ways."

And then, I saw the preview and I felt better. I have to say that I'm liking Alle and Tieria's voices. I sure was especially surprised with Alle's, as I never thought Inuyasha could pull off Alle's uke-uke tone. And I'm so going to love Sam as Tieria. -pauses for a moment- Strange. I don't really like the Ocean dubs, and yet I'm getting really hyped for this one.

On a different note, I recently got invited to go to my sister's friend's wedding. So, today, I got a very nice black dress. Yeah, so what if it's black? It's really pretty. Anyhow, I got it from the Misses section instead of the Women's section! I'm not quite sure, but I think in that school of thought, Misses=Medium. So, yeah, I'm happy about that; and I'm keeping up with the weight loss. In fact, I'm gonna head over to the pool, shortly.

Before I go, there's one other little detail I should mention. I'm being invaded, again. This time, by my dad's oldest sister. She's coming down for a few days to see Grandma. So, on Sunday, which is also my brother's birthday, the entire family is going to visit and have lunch with Grandma. Once again, I'm terrified to do this, but I'm gonna do it. It should be better with my other reletives around, too. But...we're also celebrating her birthday...on Jake's birthday...in the Alzheimer's unit...in the middle of nowhere. Sure, it's nice, but it really doesn't sit right with me. Poor Jake! I feel like he's getting gypped! But I digress. What I was originally trying to say was that the next Geass episode post will be delayed...again. And I guess it's best if it is, because this is probably going to mess with my head. Mou, and just when I finally got over my last bout of depression. T_T

Geass R2-Turn 13

-sigh- I honestly could not watch this episode until today. Blasted SD resolution couldn't come out until late in the evening. So, yeah. Anyhow, I think we know how I feel about the main plot of yesterday's episode, but I'll get to that in a bit.

First of all, I'd like to mention the new OP/ED. While I think the OP is a little too happy for the impending destruction, I like it. Of course, my favorite moments were the Lloyd/Cecile and Cornelia/Guilford; mixed with a bit of Kanon, and the other character that I like. I think I'll be needing to change my icon to support my pairing, soon. The ED, I'll need to listen to the song a few more times. I admit it, as a Rozen Maiden fan, I like Ali Project. But I don't think that this is their best.

Okay, next up: The Bionic Orange! I don't know what came over me, but I really started liking Orange-kun, this season. In fact, I almost want to refer to him by his real name; seeing as how I feel he's been humbled enough. Eh, all right, I will. My favorite Jeremiah-related moments were the match between him and Sayoko, when he faced Lelouch, and when he broke down and accepted Lelouch. That last moment just made me want to hug the guy. So, I guess I've grown some respect for him, over time. Though, I'm still a little leery if he was being absolutely sincere during the "Yes, Your Majesty." moment.

Villetta doesn't seem to know what she wants. She wants to be free from the campus, get out of her blackmailing, and yet she wants Ohgi. Like during the Chigusa Period, I find it rather fitting for her to be a Gemini. Two sides to who she really is. Then again, everyone in this series has more than one side to them. And even though I don't really like her all that much, she also has grown on me, this season.

I've said it so many times, but Cornelia freaking rocks! Her line about how, "There are no gods in this world." was awesome; plus it reminded me of Setsuna from G00. Then, she threw a knife right into V.V.'s forehead. Of course, he got up and pulled it out. And she now knows that V.V.'s really her uncle. And speaking of V.V., for some reason, he's reminding me of Mujo from Scryed.

Now, I can't hate Rolo for what he did. I just can't. He's pretty much doomed anyway, so why not push fate more? Sure, I'll probably cry over him, but I've also come to expect it and accept it. Plus, he did me a huge favor: he got the plot moving by killing my absolute least favorite character in the series. Also, I'm going to give him the benefit of a doubt over Shirley's killing. I'm quite sure it was him, but I'm also going to wait and see if he really was the killer. It would be pretty funny if he didn't turn out to be the murderer, and psych out all the fans that are hating on him, right now.

Okay, we all know that I hated Shirley. And, yes, I'm glad that she's out of the picture. I wanted to get myself to like her, in this episode; because I knew what was going to happen. But no, she was still the same character that I hated from day one. Am I being a bitch about her demise? Yes, I know I am; and I know I'll pay for it later on. Still, everyone hates Nina, and they'll be cheering for her death, too. I'll feel sad for her, but I'll also feel relieved. Same can be said about Rolo. I just can't bring myself to hate them like I do her. Plus, her death has potentially put the plot into overdrive. From here on out, the gloves are off. No more fooling around!

Checkpoint time! I'm going to dedicate this part to Jeremiah, because I think he deserves it. When we first met him, he was an arrogant Purist. Then, he became an Orange, who was trying to re-climb the ladder of success and failed every time. Next, after a sound juicing by Kallen, he ends up becoming a living experiment for Bartley and his men to re-create Code-R. After going insane and causing damage in his mechanical Orange, Sigfreid, he and V.V. meet up somehow. Finally, after getting the Geass Canceller, he fights his way to Lelouch and learns the truth. And so, I have one thing to say to our underdog...

Jeremiah Gottwald, I hereby pronounce you "Not an Orange"!

Sadly, Lloyd and Cecile didn't show up in this episode. However, even though I couldn't get a good screenshot, I was thrilled with their moments in the OP/ED. Yeah, they're always shown together; being superior and subordinate, but they're also friends. Sure, everyone was super-happy in the OP, but it just looked right with them. Same for Cornelia/Guilford, and we all know how Guilford is about his princess. Even the ED looked right, with them. Plus, I have to say how much I love Cecile in her formal black dress. It just looks perfect on her. ^_^

Happy Independence Day!

Yes, while celebrate our freedom; much happened at AX today. As you can guess, we got good news on the Keroro front. In a rather somewhat-yet-not-so-odd twist, FUNimation picked up Keroro along with about 30 other ADV related titles. While I was so sure that Bandai would rescue the platoon, it does make sense that FUNi would do it; seeing as how they and ADV are both based here in Texas. And I hope that this means that there's a better chance at getting it on TV now, too. I'm not holding my breath, but maybe...just maybe. So, in short, I guess that makes Navarre the Britannian Empire of the anime industry. They now own about 3/4 of the major industries: FUNi, ADV, and Geneon. Of course, this means that Bandai is the Black Knights, but they still seem to be holding strong.
Speaking of Bandai, we got confirmation for Gundam 00's TV broadcast! It's going to air on the Sci-Fi channel's Ani-Monday; starting 11/17 (Seven days after my birthday!) with two episodes a week. Also, it seems as though it's going to be dubbed by Ocean. With that said, I'm calling my dub predictions for the Meisters now. Setsuna-Brad Swaile, Lockon-Scott McNeil, Allelujah-Kirby Morrow, and I'm still looking for a good one for Tieria. But, from my sources, it looks as though we'll be getting more information by the end of AX.
Continuing with G00, a picture was leaked from a Newtype commercial with the Meisters in new outfits. (I believe Mamoru Miyano was the voice-over...the "Ore-tachi wa Gundam da!" gave it away.) So, it looks like they're beginning to hype the second season this month. There's just one thing that bothers me...Lockon. He was there with the other Meisters, but it isn't the Lockon that we know. It's Lyle. Dammit! That's just hitting way too hard below the belt! T_T He may look like Lockon, and sound like Lockon, but he isn't our Lockon; Neil was our Lockon.
...Ooh! Fireworks! I'll be off!

Meh. Just Meh.

I guess I'll start out by admitting my hypocrasy. Dad's been home, drinking (of course), and bitching over every little thing. It's been driving Mom and I up the wall, and we're thinking about taking out the amaretto that she bought yesterday. God, I hope that they spring up that New Jersey trip back on him. He managed to get out of it, but it sounds like they may need him, after all. I doubt it'll end up in our favor, though.

Also, due to 7/4 being tomorrow, new Geass dub episode is up early. It was mostly pretty good, but there were a few instances where it felt flat. I think my main issue was the scene where Team Lancelot phones in on Euphy, and yeah, I'm picking on this just because they're awesome. I did like Lloyd's line on, "But all this waiting around is boring!". But he lacked the enthusiasm in the "Yatta~!" part. Then again, he sounded great in the scene where he's about to be beaten up by Cecile. XD Also, Crispin Freeman is Orange-kun. The "ZEROOOO!!!!" part was a little flat, but it sounded very close to Narita-san's version. Too bad that we won't be seeing him again until episode 23, but I'm convinced that he's going to own in 25. The rising of the Giant Flying Mechanical Orange is going to be epic!

On a final Geass dub-related note, shall we start placing bets to see if Nina's Table Dance will be shown in all it's disturbing glory? I almost want to say that it will, seeing as how they kept in Kallen's shower scene with some blurring effects. Adding to that, I can see them doing the same to Villetta's scene, too. Besides, unlike Kallen and Villetta, it wasn't actually in-your-face, but you got the drift. Heh. Pending if they keep it in, I can't wait to hear Adverb's reaction to it. -evil smirk-

Next, it's AX weekend, and this year already seems to have blown last year out of the water. FUNi just got a whole bunch of Geneon's lost titles, including some I've had my eyes on for a while. And from the looks on Bandai's homepage, something else may have a TV deal. Hmm~. Could it be the armed intervention? ^_^ Yeah, my money's on Gundam 00, and I know that they were trying to get it on TV anyway.

It's All Good

Right now, I'm listening to the first R2 drama cd. C.C.'s new song is pretty good, and that first drama track was pretty funny. A bunch of the female characters are sitting around and discussing Lelouch and Suzaku competing in sports. It started with C.C and Kallen; then, Milly, Shirley, Villetta, Cornelia, Cecile, Rakshata, Kaguya, and Anya show up. Okay, that's an odd combination. I'm not sure, but it sounded like some of their daydreams were a bit perverted...and just a bit silly. Rakshata's in particular cracked me up. And it sounded like Shirley got a couple of nosebleeds. The second is a mix of C.C./Kallen bickering and their missions on the year off.

Earlier, I went out to Addison. Aly had to buy some booze for a bachelorette party, and the liquor store is out there. So, naturally, I went to Anime Pop. I only bought a few Zodiac Chara Fortune clips, though. Unfortuately for me, I didn't get the Lloyd one; however, I did get Cecile! When I first saw I had her, I was like, "Nee-chan~!!!" And now, she's clipped onto my normal Lloyd. ^_^ The other ones I got were: Kallen, C.C., Orange-kun, and Ohgi.

One last thing I need to address on the Geass front. I read a huge spoiler about the next episode, yesterday; and I really don't know how to react to it. I should be happy, but I actually feel more guilty than anything. I'd rather not come off as a total bitch about the whole thing. I'll do my best to be respectful, because I'm sure something horrible will end up happening to my favorite characters, too. I've had to deal with these situations a lot, so I know how other people feel about it. Still, I won't deny that I won't feel bad about "it" when "it" happens. If they end up playing Innocent Days or their image song, then I might feel a little sad. I do think that this will be the catalyst to stop fooling around and get serious. And, yes, I'm looking forward to it.
