Geass R2-Turn 12

Well, that was a whole lot better than I expected; despite focus on Shirley. And even though it was mainly a comedy episode, there was a lot of plot-related information given as well. I think this episode had more plot elements than all the rest of the comedy episodes, actually. But, I will admit, there was some stuff that made me really happy, and a little sad, too. However, I believe that this ushers the end of the asshat-ery for the series. (Bad pun, I know. And I know that the hats are supposed to be hearts, but everyone else is calling them asshats. So, I'm joining in on the fun, too.)

I might as well get Shirley out of the way. God, I just knew they were going to push her crush on Lelouch. -sigh- I pray to the Geass gods that someone takes her down, in the next episode; if not by the end of this arc. I've pegged Orange-kun to do it, but Rolo is becoming a likely candidate, too. And yet I'm sure she'll end up surviving, somehow; but if she does, she'd better not end up with Lelouch. -Waves Lulu/Kallen flag-

Moving on to Orange-kun, he's got a Geass Canceler. It isn't that surprising, since I've known that from magazine articles; and he's also restored Shirley's memories. Once again, not surprising. And I'm really hyped up for the oncoming Ashford arc, too. We'll see if Orange-kun's still an Orange, or if he really did calm down. Nonetheless, I'm expecting him to be permanently juiced, by the end of the arc. XP Also, was he drinking orange juice, or was it champagne with an orange slice on the glass? Orange champagne?

Oh, yeah! Cornelia-sama's back and kicking ass, even with only one arm! (The other arm is in a sling.) Her hair is longer, and is in a partial braid, like Nunnally's. Still, that Cornelia Li Britannia is one handsome woman! (Stellvia reference!) My favorite part of her scene was when she pointed her Gun/Sword at Bartley's back. And since it's Cornelia-related, Guilford looking at a photo album of both of them and Darlton was both cute and a little strange. He really does love his princess. ^_^ Also, I liked how he gave Suzaku some advice about taking advantage of the peaceful time to interact with his friends. Yeah, Guilford may be obsessed with his Hime-sama, but he really is a decent man.

And how could I not mention Milly? She really did regain my respect, and I'm a little sad at her story being concluded. But, I'm glad that she's away from Ashford now. She won't be caught in the midst of all the destruction going down, soon. I'm sure we'll see her around; maybe in the end with Rivalz. But, she decided to screw the family, and went on to become a weather girl. Sure, she's a weather girl, but at least she's her own person-no strings attached. It kind of reminds me of Anthy at the end of Utena, growing up and going out into the real world. Also...

...NO MORE ENGAGEMENT!!!! YATTA~! While Lloyd is at fault for failure, I do feel a little sad for him. His expression while he's watching Milly broke my heart a little. Even though he seemed upbeat about Milly moving on, he didn't seem as chipper as usual. I actually wouldn't be surprised if it was just a facade; a mask of indifference. On the other hand, I'm way more happier for the main obstacle threatening Lloyd/Cecile being cleared. Now all we have to do, is get Lloyd over his mechaphilia and Cecile to make a move; because we all know Lloyd would never be the instigator.

There were a few amusing random scenes I liked, too. Rolo using his Geass and dragging Lelouch into a locker/closet. Why did I think that Lelouch's head hitting the wall was hilarious? Ninja Maid Sayoko is confirmed to be a ninja! 0_0 And her escapades as masquerading as Lelouch were pretty funny, too. Villetta's side comment about Shirley liking Lelouch and getting shot for it was amusing. But the thing that really amused me was that Arthur had pink and blue asshats on his ears! XD

For today's main Checkpoint, I'll focus on Cornelia-sama! It appears as though she's been doing more research on Marianne, during the year off. She ended up at the Geass ruins/Cult and proceeds to strike down all that get in her way. She ends up finding Bartley with some of his scientists, corners them, and points her Gun/Sword to Bartley's back.

I honestly have no comment for this one, except that she's awesome.

And I'm going to have some fun with today's Lloyd/Cecile Checkpoint. There were two things that really stood out. One's pretty obvious, and the other was just Lloyd being cute during the meeting with Guilford and the Glaston Knights.

You gotta wonder what he's thinking about, though.

And now, the moment we've been waiting for. After seeing Milly doing the weather report, Lloyd mentions her being his ex-fiancee. Despite that he's being his usual genki self, something seems off about him. I'm sure that somewhere inside of him, he feels a little sad. Heck, he looked depressed while watching his ex-fiancee talking about the weather. While Suzaku and some of the random techies gossip about the broken engagement, Cecile gives Lloyd a side glance of concern. Cecile truely knows our beloved Pudding Earl better than anyone else. Well, except Rakshata, of course; but she doesn't count. One thing's for sure, though; I'll be supporting this every step of the way!

Come on, Nee-san, make a move! You can do it!

Total Failure

Pretty much says how I feel, right now.

Last night, I was questioned on what could motivate my siblings and I to get and keep some jobs. What started this whole thing? Jake's been applying at different places, and ends up bailing out. And I was the only one in the room at the time, so they just had to ask me. (Thanks a lot, Jake! >.<)
Yeah, I got hostile with my parents about it; even though I know what they were saying was true. I know that everyone gets scared when starting a new job. With me, that isn't the only problem, though. I'm terrified of failing, and my people skills aren't very good either; which is why I'm looking for office work. I'd rather not have to deal with customer service anymore. However, I did end up sending my resume to one place in town, last night. I'm gonna need to look some more, this weekend.
Still, I really don't appreciate being put on the spot like that. In fact, I'm still mad at them for it. (I wish we had a punching bag, because I'm very close to beating the crap out of someone.) I ended up taking a little drive to try and clear my head, but it didn't work. All I did was drive up to college and back. I would've stayed in the parking lot and listened to some music, but it's too hot to do that. And I certainly wouldn't want to waste anymore of our precious gasoline. Plus, I'm going to Addison on Wednesday; so I'll be spending money at Anime Pop. After this whole mess, I need a good pick-me-up.

Much Addendum To My Last Post

I was going to add this to my weekly Geass report, but I have a little too much information. I'd rather not make my post any bigger than it already is.

First up, I just saw the 30-second preview for Turn 12. The entire thing was of Shirley and Milly in the shower. Milly is looking particularly depressed, almost to the point of crying. It appears that Milly's depressed about graduating, leaving her friends, and marrying a guy who doesn't even give a damn about her. Add in the confrontation with Nina and Kallen's capture (I'm sure she knows about this.). It might be time for Milly to grow up and become her own person, rather than clinging onto the name of Ashford. If she does this, then she's redeemed herself in my eyes. (Bonus points if she calls off the engagement to Lloyd! -Waves the Lloyd/Cecile flag!-)

Also, I heard some things about the upcoming Orange-kun arc, today. From what I heard, Shirley comes in contact with Orange-kun, and possibly gets her memories back. She's all paranoid and calls out Suzaku to talk about what's going on. Gee, how much you want to bet it'll be out in a pending battlefield? However, Lelouch is out looking for the Geass cult, and might not be able to save her this time. I know I'm just setting myself up for failure, but I can almost see Shirley's blood on the ground. Still, with her Cockroach Powers, she might be able to cheat death again. I think the only way we can assure Shirley's demise is if Nina came in with her nuke.

Adding to that, I've been keeping up with Shiratori-san's blog and have come across some interesting things. First off, it seems as though they're about to utilize Nina's bomb. Also, in his latest Geass-related entry, he mentions finishing modifications on the enemy's mech. -sigh- You just can't stop Lloyd from playing around with a mech, can you? Then again, Rakshata's been one-upping him way too much lately. In fact, I can't wait to see how she reacts when she see's Guren being used against her; if that's the case, of course. Just think of it as payback for what she did with the Hadron Cannons, last season.

Next up, I'm quite looking forward to the second drama cd. Even though the drama tracks are more comedy-oriented, but I'll get to that in a minute. Our character song this time is going to be a song for Rolo! YAY! As much as I didn't care for him at first, the kid's grown on me a lot; kinda like Cornelia in the first season. Anyhow, one of the drama tracks concerns the Kururugi Shrine. However, I'm more interested in the other one called...Naked Lelouch! (LOL!!!) It concerns Lulu, Suzaku, Rolo, Rivalz, and Gino, and was apparently set up by Milly. God, if they end up doing size comparisons, who wants to bet that Lulu's the biggest underdog out of all of them? (Thank you, Busou Renkin!)

Geass R2-Turn 11

-frustrated sigh- Okay, I'll be brief. The battle rocked, but the ending seriously made me facepalm. In fact, it pissed me off; but I'll be getting to that in a minute.
I'll start with Kallen. Not only am I dreading a Rescue Kallen arc, but she's also probably going to get mind raped by Charles. Grr! Kallen's a strong girl! She doesn't need to be made into a damsel in distress, dammit! But I'm also a little worried about Guren. Just shortly after it gets upgraded, it falls into the hands of the last person you'd want it to. Then again, Rakshata was going to destroy Lancelot in the first season finale; so, I guess it's only fair if Lloyd wants some payback. (Please, let there be some development to come from this!)

I think I started liking Xing-ke more, after this. And I still think his relationship with Tianzi is adorable.

I still don't have much to say about Anya just yet. She is definately Geass-related, though. Gino on the other hand, just what exactly is his point of existance? All I've gotten from him is that he's a happy-go-lucky idiot with a side of arrogance. I am going to say this right now; he'd better not get anywhere near Kallen.

I'm not quite sure what was up with Orange-kun and the others in the ruins. He mentioned "final adjustments", to General Bartley. Hn. I'm getting very interested in his upcoming arc. Remember Orange-kun; if you do us all a favor and burn Ashford to the ground, I'll dub thee "Not an Orange"! You'll get extreme bonus points with me if you kill off Shirley in the process, as well.

Sayoko...WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE?!? God! It's bad enough that I can't stand Shirley, and now I'm probably going to be even more annoyed with her in the upcoming episode. And speaking of Ashford, I am not happy with Gino and Anya attending. I knew this was coming, but just to see it happen...>_<

-groan- While I am not pleased with the premise for next week's episode, there is something I'm looking forward to. It looks like Cornelia-sama is back! Oh God, I hope that really is her! She's got her Gun/Sword, so it has to be her! I just don't see that fan-made character looking that badass. If it really is Cornelia, I so want her to reunite with Guilford, at last. After his run of bad luck, he more than deserves his princess.

With that said, Checkpoint time! Today, I'll be focusing on the agreement between the Black Knights and the Chinese Federation. I don't know why, but I really liked the symmetry of this scene.

Two rebel leaders, their loli rulers, and their mechs.

On the Diethard fannage side, there were two things I liked. First was when he did his media manipulation to broadcast the conversation between Zero and the Eunuchs. The second part was when the ladies ganged up on him, when he proposed that they have Tianzi marry someone Japanese. Poor guy!
To finish things off, sadly once again, there was another lack on the Lloyd/Cecile front. The important thing is that they now have Guren, but whatever is going to happen to it is up to them. (I can just picture the look on Lloyd's face while thinking of all the possiblities. Kukuku~) The more meaningless moment was when Shinkirou made it's debut. Call me insane, but I think Lloyd looks sexy when he's serious.

I'm Being Bombarded With Frogs-De Arimasu!

For the past two days, there's been a surplus of Keroro episodes being released! There were three yesterday, and they just put out five more! Plus, there was this week's raw as well. I'm just now starting to get the Curry no Sochou-sama episode, right now! ^_^ Sadly, I probably won't be able to get all of them tonight. Torrenting takes time, ya know! So, I'm probably going to pull an all-nighter on getting the episodes. On a different note, I'll hit some of my favorite moments from episodes 115-117!

115 was Nyororo-related. Keroro's skin is all moist, he's crazy, and decides to make a movie involving Nyororo and a Mecha Nyororo. (He wanted to up his popularity.) As usual, things didn't really go as planned. When Keroro went in for his super-cool scene, not only did a Nyororo get in the way, but Tamama didn't know how to work the camera! In the second part, we continue on with the Mecha Nyororo. Keroro didn't want to get rid of it, so he had Kururu program it into becoming a robotic pet. It was pretty cute, Keroro and his Giant Nyobo. Jealous Tamama and the Sergent of Tennis were pretty funny, too. (I've never seen Prince of Tennis, but I got the reference.) The ending was rather bittersweet, though. A swarm of Nyororo came, and Giant Nyobo sacrificed itself to save Pekopon. I think I almost teared up, during this part. But there is a possiblity of it drifting out in space, somewhere. T_T

116 was hilarious. The first part was about Keroro fighting with Natsumi over taking a bath in a clean tub. I'm with Keroro on this; he cleans and takes care of the Hinata house, so he's entitled to taking a shiny bath every now and then. Being the Natsumi hater that I am, I got some satisfaction out of the bath tortures they gave her. (Major lulz at Tamama's Cola Bath!) In the end, Fuyuki let Keroro take a shiny bath with him. Aww, I just love those moments between them. In the second part, everyone's frustrated with Keroro's crappy plans, so they turn to Mois and her diary for help. Mois diary is pretty much a fangirl's diary, talking about how awesome her Oji-sama is. My favorite moments were when Tamama got jealous and pointed out Mois' fangirlism (Like he has a right to talk! ^^), Giroro's spazzing, and everyone getting mad at Keroro for his crappy plans. Even Tamama got frustrated with him. XD

117 was a bit of a downer, compared to the first two. The first part was mostly Momoka-related. It's Tanabata and she wants to know what Fuyuki wished for. I was rather amused with the Platoon reading all of Inner Tokyo's wishes, though. And there was a cute GiroNatsu moment, at the end. The second part was Strange Dopamine! Keroro wanted to broadcast the Pekopon Invasion Ondo, so everyone would dance to it during the summer festival. My two favorite moments were the postcard artisan scene with Keroro and Dororo. Dororo dressed up as a delinquent and speaking Keroro-like was hilarious, but the part with Giroro took the cake. They couldn't get Sumomo-chan to be on the show, so Kururu gave him a big pink bow that changed his voice to Sumomo's. Giroro...acting girly...with Natsumi spying. It literally broke him up.

If I get the newest episodes done tonight, I plan to watch them while I get tomorrow's Geass episode. So then, stay tuned for more frogs and the weekly Geass fan rantings!

In Which Aya Has Another Nosebleed Moment

I wish Adverb didn't get off-line, just yet; because he would've had a field day with what just happened to me. I was looking for scans of some MK trading cards that came with the R2 dvds. I curse myself for not saving the scans that I saw, some time ago. Gah! I hate myself for not saving the one of Ernest, at least! -headdesk- His was so pretty! *_*

But anyway, I was looking around some sites and just happened to come upon something "very interesting". -smirk- I found a rather lovely fanart of the Pilot boys on the beach. OH YEAH~!!!! I think it even beats the one from the Japanese site that I used to frequent. (Which, unfortunately, became a Gundam fanart site. Tch! It was such a nice Garu/Ernest site, too.) Ah~! I love it! Yu's looking all dour, like he really doesn't want to be there. Rio's looking energetic and holding a beach ball. Yes, Rio must be the one with the beach ball. XD Meanwhile, Garu's arm in arm with Ernest, who is blushing. -fangirl squee- Blushing Ernest is SO CUTE!!!! YAH~! Ernest-sama~! (Didn't think I'd ever say that again!)

Well, I will be talking to Adverb tomorrow about Code Geass. After the Refrain chat, I am so going to bring this up! I don't expect him to "get it", but hey, at least there's Rio to grab his attention.

Geass R2-Turn 10

As I mentioned last night, I don't really have much to say on this episode. It mostly focused on the battle against the Chinese Federation. Baka Lelouch! You really shouldn't have pulled that stunt of capturing Tianzi!

I'll start out with Xing-ke. I'm kind of "meh" on him, to be honest. He has his cool moments, but I'm not too fond of him being as powerful as he is. Sure, he's dying because of it, but still it just doesn't work too well with me. I do think his bond with Tianzi is pretty cute, though. Oh! And I've heard that we're getting some combat between him and Gino, next episode! RYUHOU!!! KAZUMA!!! I don't think it'll be as hot-blooded as that, though. ^_^' Still, it makes for a fun reference.

Next up, Kallen. Yeah, it was pretty stupid to be reckless and take on Shen Hu by herself. Not to mention that she ran out of energy and got caught. I'm really hoping that they get her back, next episode; because I also really don't want a "Rescue Kallen" arc. Besides, she's too gar to be a damsel in distress; that's more like Shirley or Nunnally. Also, if I haven't said it before, I want Lulu to end up with her; if they manage to survive.

I have to say that I'm a little disappointed with Diethard, right now. I know his idea was more logical, but didn't he propose the exact opposite during the Kaminejima episode? Maybe he's just jealous that Kallen is getting more attention from Zero, than he is. -shrug- I'm not too worried about a betrayal quite just yet. He might pull another assassination attempt or something, though. He might be getting disillusioned, but hopefully not enough to quit making Zero into a god.

About Rakshata and Shen Hu, I'm very interested in where this is going. Her and her team worked on Shen Hu, and apparantly made it too overpowered. I've heard that the reason Xing-ke is dying is because of this. Anyhow, I admit that I like seeing her squirm at Guren getting beaten by her own creation. Also, I wonder if this had something to do with her falling out with Lloyd and Cecile. Since the latter are participating in the next episode, there might be some more light shed on this. (OOH! God, I hope so!)

I mentioned yesterday that I really don't like the idea of Anya being a clone of Marianne, a la Rei Ayanami. On one hand, it wouldn't surprise me; but I've had enough with the Eva stuff. (I prefer Megami Kouhosei and Brain Powered to that, of course!) I do wonder how she got that picture of shota Lulu, though.

It looks like Milly is thinking over things. From what I've heard, she's going to graduate; which is why she's holding the Cupid Festival in episode 12. A last hurrah of sorts, I guess. I'm beginning to think that if she doesn't end her engagement to Lloyd, she's going to get killed in the oncoming Orange Attack. They've spent a little more time on her, lately; and from experience, that raises the death flag.

Finally, I have to make a few comments about Ashford, in general. First off, I know that the second Lelouch is Ninja Maid Sayoko. I believe it was mentioned in the magazines. Nonetheless, I find it to be funny, yet fitting for Sayoko to do that. Second, I want to make another Utena reference. Is it just me, or is Ashford really kind of like Ohtori? It's like a place where the students are so oblivious and carefree. "Nothing bad ever happens in Ohtori.", so says Kanae. Yet, there is something sinister going on that only a few know about. For Utena, it's duelling; for Geass, it's a terrorist rebellion/war.

For the normal checkpoint, I think I want to focus on Tamaki. We all know the guy's an annoying idiot, but he can grow on you. He just needs to calm down and focus. Still, his big mouth and stupidity are what tends to get him into trouble.

You got fired from being in charge of finance for being an idiot, you idiot!

And, despite the lack of Lloyd and Cecile, there was a fun little continuation of Lloyd's habit of hiding behind women. Last week, it was Cecile; this week, it's Milly. Can we just get the guy a female bodyguard, or something? Nee-san, perhaps?

And they say that "Behind every succesful man is a good woman."

Invasion is Over!

First off, I have to say that I'm putting off the Geass post for one more day. I know I said I would do it today, but I've been recuperating from the invasion. And unfortunately, I don't think that my Turn 10 post is going to be very long. I do have a few speculations that I'll be making, though. And no, I'm going to wait a few more weeks until I start speculating more on Anya. I have to say that I'm not really liking the possibility of her being a mother clone like Rei Ayanami, though. (I honestly thought that C.C. would've been the Rei clone of Geass; until I saw that she had a personality.)

Anyhow, I need to rant about the invasion a little bit more. I was a little more tolerant when they first came, on Sunday. In fact, I actually had fun. I guess it was on Monday that I started getting irritated with Aunt Jan's parenting. I already mentioned that Drew still sucks his thumb. I'm sorry, but a kid his age just doesn't do that! I actually confronted her about that, yesterday. I think I did it in a tactful way, and she even said that I enlightened her. Let's see if she actually does anything about it, though.

Also, I can definitely see where I get my neuroticness from. Apparently, the reason why Aunt Jan brought the sippy cup with her was so Drew wouldn't spill anything. -facepalm- Look; spills happen, and they can be cleaned up easily. According to Mom and Aly, there were a few other little things she freaked out about, too. She was even freaking out to my Mom about the littlest things. I know that I tend to be a tightass a lot of the time, but some of those things just took the cake.

Actually, I made a joke about the grass cuts incident; either last night or the night before. We were talking about places that we could walk to around here, even though there aren't any. Mom mentioned that there was a 7-11 not too far from here, but it was too far to walk to. I also added, "And there's a lot of tall grass out there, too." (Something to that effect, anyway.) Well, Mom mentioned at dinner tonight that she caught on to that; and everyone thought it was a pretty good jab. I don't think she knew what I meant, but at least my family got it.

Even though I'm being an ole Bitchy Tieria about my relatives, I really do care for them. Still, Aunt Jan really needs to let go of her hold on Drew and her control in general. (Mom's told me plenty of times that she had to have complete control as a kid, too.) Heck, I'm waiting for Kevin to step up and say something to her about it. In fact, I want him to. He's a man, but he prefers things to be peaceful. (Yep! He is such a Pisces!) But, one of these days, she'll need to stop smothering Drew with her over protectiveness.

-sigh- After thinking about everything, I think I want to talk to Aunt Laura. If anyone in the family understands my frustration, it's her. So, next time Mom talks to her or if I find her e-mail address, I think I'll talk to her.

Yare-Yare...

First off, I've decided to hold off on the Geass post until Wednesday. I need to watch it a second time, in order to get the full gist of what's going on. Unfortunately for me, I was never good at understanding politics. Plus, the battle was a little too fast-paced, and I couldn't really keep up. (And the lack of His Puddingness makes me sad, too.)

Anyhow, I'm a little annoyed with my aunt. I know I said yesterday that she's overprotective of my cousin. Well, that still hasn't changed. I think the kid's doomed to being a Momma's Boy for the rest of his life. -_-' Get this: he just turned seven, and he's going into second grade this fall. And yet, he's still sucking his thumb and drinking from a sippy cup. Now, I haven't said anything, but am I wrong to think that there's a problem with that? I could just be nitpicking, but it does make me raise my eyebrows.

It's so stupid for me to get annoyed about it, but for some reason it does. I mean, I understand that she and Kevin spoil Drew because he's the only child that they'll ever have. (They're both in their 40's, you see.) But I have a real problem with Drew acting like a toddler. He's supposed to be a big kid, now; but I think Aunt Jan's over protectiveness has stunted his growth. I actually kind of want to ask her about how she feels about some of that stuff, even if it really isn't my place to. Still, if this keeps up, I can see some problems arising.

Delays...

Yep. Unfortunately for me, my weekly Geass post is definitely going to be delayed. My provider is MIA, my company is going to be here in about an hour and a half, and even if I got the raw I wouldn't get it done in time. My computer can't handle HD, sadly. I learned this the hard way when I started G00. Anyhow, I really don't know when I'll get the post done. All I know is that it will be done, by the end of the week.

So, along with that, my Dad's been home for the past three days and will still be home tomorrow. That and "that time of the month", makes for a rather bitchy Aya. Drinking himself stupid every night, watching/listening to DVDs on high-volume with surround sound, playing supervisor while we're getting ready for our company, and just being a general douche. I was pretty much stuck in Tieria Mode, yesterday, so to speak. In fact, I still am, a little bit.

It's probably due to the fact that I'm about to be invaded, too. (Invading...I've been watching way too much Keroro.) I'll try to be as tolerant as I can, but I just don't like kids. And my aunt's overprotective attitude with Drew is kind of annoying. Seriously, she got all upset because he came home with grass cuts on his legs, once. -eyebrow twitch- Please, spare me. Getting grass cuts is just a natual thing that happens when playing outside. >.<

Meh. I just have to deal with this until Wednesday afternoon/evening.

Geass R2-Turn 09

Alright! After a week's delay, we're back in action! And boy, this episode is great! We have romance potentials, psychotic lesbians, androgynous assistants who might be gay, food-related dorkery, epic Prince vs. Ex-Prince chess, weddings, promises, and...Oranges?! (Yes, I'm way too hyped about this episode.)

Pretty much the basis of this episode consisted of Tianzi getting married to Odysseus. I was more under the impression that she was getting married to Schneizel, but it looks like we were wrong. However, it was Schneizel who set the whole thing up. Staying on the topic of Tianzi, she and Li are really cute together. I don't really support that kind of thing, but maybe as an onii-san/imouto-type relationship.

If I haven't said it now, I support LelouchXKallen. I was a little bit during the first season, but her breakdown in 25 put me off. But her thinking about the events that happened in Turn 07 was cute. She didn't even mind that she fell on top of Lulu. If either make it out alive, I want them to end up together.

I'm continuing to like Kanon...a lot. He seems to be such a nice guy, and even jokes/hints that he may be in "that" kind of a relationship with Schneizel. If it was true, then I guess we have our first confirmed BL pairing for Geass. (And I was so sure that Schneizel's man-whore was Lloyd. Threesome, perhaps?)

Some of the other interactions at the party were pretty funny. Gino and Cecile made a faux pas from eating decorative food sculptures, while Anya blogs as usual. I have to admit, Gino was pretty funny about the whole thing. Lloyd was pretty much just being himself, which is always fun. He ended up bringing Milly along, because Suzaku was mad that he wasn't being a proper fiancee. (Uh...yeah.) And I just adored the scene between him and Kanon; a couple of pretty boy Earls.

Continuing on with Milly, Nina showed up with Schneizel. She seems to be doing well; but after a rooftop reunion with Milly, she falls apart. I actually have to agree with her about Milly. As much as I like Milly, she has gotten on my nerves, slightly. Someone needed to criticize her ways at some point. And later, during the chess scene, she tries to knife Zero. Again, I can accept why she went mad. She's like an angry widower who's lover's killer got off easy. She wants the bastard to suffer and die.

So, we also get some much-needed Schneizel screentime. The epic chess scene is pretty much a metaphor for some upcoming BK vs. Schneizel action, and to understand Zero as well. I still wonder about Schneizel, though. I think that he's the only character that I don't actually "get". One thing's pretty certain, though. He seems to know that Zero=Lelouch.

And now, for a few miscellaneous thoughts. At the ceremony, we get to see Cecile's Revolutionary Girl outfit. (I hope we get to see more of it, next ep.) I have to express my amusement at Lloyd hiding behind Cecile like a scared child, during the knife incident. XD I'm surprised that Diethard didn't have a Zero-gasm, today. I would've liked to have seen him when he actually got to reunite with Zero. And, finally, we are reintroduced to Orange-kun. He's with V.V., in the desert, drinking champagne; and is talking about C.C. and Lelouch. It looks like he now knows the identity of ZEROOOOOO!!!!

I know I should be doing a checkpoint for Li and Tianzi, but this was too cute not to talk about. When Milly and Lloyd discuss the continuation of their engagement, Kanon walks up and starts to talk with them. He mentions that he found it surprising that "Lloyd has taken interest in another human." (Mechaphile confirmed!) Lloyd's reply, well...

Geass/Macross Stuff

First up, new Geass information. To start off with, it looks as though we have our mid-season Mao. Yep! It's Orange-kun! From what it sounds like, he's being sent to Ashford as an assassin to kill Zero. Orange-kun, if you destroy Ashford or kill at least one council member (Shirley or Milly? Place your bets, now!), I might consider you "Not an Orange" for it. Still, if they still keep up the parallels, Orange-kun will probably be down for good by the end of 16.

Also, we get names for the other Knight of Rounds; except they seem to escape me for the moment. We also get a look at younger Marianne, Charles (Why am I not surprised that he was a bishounen when he was younger?), and some of the other princesses. It said something about the first princess plotting something with Odysseus. I'm going to venture a guess and say that she's the brains, and he's her spineless partner. And the fifth princess sounds like Nena Trinity-a war loving bitch. (Oh, I am so going to hate her; I can just tell!)

And Lelouch gets a new Knightmare, courtesy of Rakshata. It's name is Mirage and is a one-seater. Lelouch soloing in a Knightmare? That just doesn't sound right. Yes, sadly, we have lost the Gawain; which is a real shame. Gawain, we hardly knew ye. T_T

On the dub front, I'm still liking it. My only little gripe with today's episode was the classic "O-ME-DE-TOU~!" scene. Liam sounded a little flat, but it still gave off the "WTF?!" feeling from the original. In fact, I think it was even more awkward than the Japanese version. So, I guess it worked. '^_^

Next up: Macross F! I was watching the latest raw, last night; and I have a few things that I want to address. First off, I totally support Ranka. I can kind of relate to how she acts and feels about Alto. She's shy, has had a traumatic experience, has big dreams, and she's in a love triangle consisting of her, her idol, and the guy they both want. The truth is, Sheryl's been making it really hard for me to support her, lately. She's been forcing herself onto Alto, and that really turns me off. She might be doing it just to get Ranka to fight for Alto, or she's doing it because she's jealous. It did kind of look like jealousy was what spurred her to kiss him. I don't know; the way she goes after Alto just rubs me the wrong way.

On the other side, I am really liking Brera. He's one of those characters that I just have to know more about. (Sexy, blonde badass!) It is looking like he could be Ranka's real older brother; it wouldn't surprise me, to be honest. If he managed to survive the Vajra attack and became part cyborg because of it. I know he's not going to survive the series; so, I'll just enjoy my time with him while I can.

All Hail Guregguru!

I just finished watching today's episode of D/P. Yah~! It was awesome! Then again, what do you expect from an episode about Guregguru?

Not only is it all about the Guregguru worship in Pastoria, but we're formally introduced to Crasher Wake. I think I like him. The dude is huge; like Lt. Surge proportions. He seems to be the typical absent-mined manly-man, and it works for him.

There was a cute scene of Kojiro having a flashback about when he and his Carnivine first met. (I really don't know how to properly spell Carnivine's Japanese name. So, I'm going with the English version.) Apparantly, he rescued the big Venus Fly Trap from the mud. Aww~! No wonder it loves him so much!

Continuing on with the Team Rocket dork-ery, they dressed Nyasu up as a Guregguru. Words cannot express how hilarious it was. When part of the contest required the Guregguru to break bricks, Nyasu did a DBZ parody! Unfortunately, he ended up breaking his hand. Later, they showed up in a giant Guregguru mecha! I freaking love the mech! Along with the thousands of Guregguru attacking/being captured/running from it. And for some reason, I got a real kick out of the mech when it got busted.

And I have to fangirl over Takeshi's Guregguru. We all know he's a pervert, but it's part of his charm. There's a reason why I consider it to be a distant relative of Kururu, ya know. And, while I didn't doubt this, it does confirm that Takeshi's Guregguru is a male. Which makes his constant butt/crotch-stabbing a whole lot funnier. Personally, I think he should've won the contest. I'm sure he would've, if TR didn't get in the way, and Joy's Guregguru saved the day.

A-Kon 2008 (Part 2)

Today, I'll talk about some of my experiences during the con. Generally speaking, there really wasn't much that I did. I mostly ran around looking for people, merchandise, and just trying not to get into people's way. Yeah, going up the escalator, you could barely see the floor. And take a piece of advice: Even if there's a big convention going on during a school day, NEVER assume that there won't be many people. When I walked in on Friday morning, the pre-reg line was from the front desk to the back and around a corner.

On Friday, I went to the Bandai panel. It really wasn't what I was expecting, really. They were supposed to have the panel on Saturday, but had to reschedule. So, there really weren't many people who went. According to what was said, they had something to license, but the "ink wasn't dry, yet". But we did get something out of it, just not something I plan on buying. I know I like cute things, but Tamogatchi isn't my thing. Oh, and about the Geass drama cd's; there will be some sort of translation with them. And excuse my arrogance here, but I get bragging rights to that one. Yep! I'm the one who asked about the drama cds. ^_^

On Saturday, I didn't really stay long. I didn't get to bed until about 11, the night before; and I was still tired. Also, Jesse was going to work a shift for registration, that afternoon. Plus, my hormones were getting in the way again. You see, I've been really worried about Jesse going into the service. I guess it got too much for me to handle, and I ended up crying a little on the train home. I think some people may have noticed, but I tried not to let anyone see me. I felt a little better after getting it out some more at home.

On Sunday, I spent most of my time with Jesse and his friends. We ended up going into their room, and watched some A-Kon TV. I didn't pay much attention, but it seemed to be a bunch of fan-made productions. One that sticks out in my mind was an anti-smoking commercial with a super hero duo. If I ever find that online, I'll have to provide a link. Another was a little short film called, "Robot Bastard". It was so bad, yet so much fun to make fun of. XD Yeah, we're a bunch of jerks; I know. And before we parted ways, Jesse made me feel better about what he's doing. I don't feel as anxious as I was, anymore. And I'll try to talk to him a few more times, before he goes to basic.

Also, A-Kon has broken the record for video game cosplay. The record was 80...we had 697. I didn't participate, but Jesse and some of his friends did. So, let's give them a big hand!

I think that was all I really wanted to mention. I'll go ahead and say that it wasn't my favorite convention, but it was okay. Sadly, if I don't get a job in time, I don't think I'll be able to make it to A-Fest this year. I'll try my best to go, especially if they get someone cool or there's some stuff I want to get. I guess I could always go for a day, as I used to do.

A-Kon 2008 (Part 1)

So, I just got back from the convention, about an hour ago. I am so exhausted, but I'm alright. Anyhow, my A-Kon report is going to be a multi-part report, due to having so much to say and being tired. So, for today, I'll talk about how I raped the Hell out of my bank account.

-New Plushies: DX-sized Keroro (Wearing a red hoodie. So cute!), Matsuri Giroro (The blush and sweatdrop was what sold me on this one.), and Dialga (Because I like my Chronos Pokemon. Yes, I named my Dialga "Chronos" in the game.).

-A few other things of note: I bought a fan-made Keroro hat. It was the hat, but it also had Keroro eyes on it, too. And because I needed something G00-related, I bought a figurine of Sumeragi. I think out of all the female characters in G00, Sumeragi is my favorite. Also, I got one of those sound drop keychains of Team Rocket! It says, "Yana kanji~!" XD

-Okay, I can say that I've officially lost my doujinshi virginity. However, I don't think I've lost my Hentai virginity, yet. I got three CG doujins, this weekend; which all have Lloyd in them, of course. Still, I can't believe how tame they were. Even the one where Schneizel's molesting Lloyd. They were entertaining, though. There was a scene in the same one where Cecile gets a nosebleed after having a dirty fantasy about Lloyd. XD In another one, Lelouch goes undercover to infiltrate the Britannian military...by wearing Kururu-style glasses. (Yeah, I know that Kururu wasn't the one who started that, but he sure popularized it!)

-Finally, I had to give into temptation and triple dip into the Goddess manga. I was looking at the republished version on Friday, and saw that it had some new material in them. After thinking it over, I went ahead and did it. The new versions included: manga for The 13th Pro-Ing (Which was a drama CD, that I still need to find!), short-stories, and there was a mini-comic about the Repairer Candidates in one of them. I'm interested in trying to translate the new material, because I know that they won't republish the translated manga just for that. (Even though I wouldn't mind that, along with editing what they had.) And I'm starting to think that the series will be continued. There was a "To be continued...06" at the end. Yeah, it's probably wishful thinking, but I can only hope. Before I end with this one; I just have to say that I still think it would've been more appropriate to have Ernest on the cover of volume 4, rather than Teela. -End fan ranting-

Alright, part two should be up in a day or so.
