Homework Woes

This is how I'm feeling about my academic life, right now.
I'm actually going to talk about something more than anime, today. To be frank, college is eating me up! Part of it is my fault, though. I've been slacking off on my Networking homework.
Despite not talking much about my school life, I talk about my Networking class the least. It's an on-line class, meaning that I have to do everything myself. They give us two to three chapters a week with 25 questions per chapter. This is one of those three chapter weeks, and I have until almost midnight to get them done. I don't think I'm going in to Networking, to say the least.
Then, along with that, I have a research paper for the same class due in two weeks, that I haven't even started on! I keep forgetting about it, due to other stuff. Then, I have another essay in English that's due pretty soon, and I have to read a freaking novel about Cambodia! It's one of those "required reading" assignments.
And don't even get me started on Economics. That class is a complete waste of time! All we do is sit and listen as that woman goes on and on about nothing! It would help if teachers, normal or professors, could teach to where the students could actually understand the concept. And the reason why I keep calling my Economics instructor "that woman"? Let's just say, that she scares me in a very personal way. If you think about it hard enough, you might understand. Other than that, I really don't want to talk about her. I was pretty much mentally scarred after my first class.
Ironically, my favorite class is my pre-algebra class. It's weird because I've always hated and done poorly in math class. And in this one, I'm one of the better students. I'm going to be shot for saying this, but I don't think I've ever seen a class of people that are worse in math than I am. When we do groupwork, I'm the one who has to explain how to do something. And the people who I'm trying to explain the concept to still don't understand how to do it! @_@
*Groans* I guess I'd better get back to my Networking homework. orz

The Office 4.1 Thoughts and Other Random Details

I've had a lot on my mind the past few days. So, not only will this contain my thoughts on last night's premier, but also the death of Geneon among other things. Well, here we go.

As much as I love The Office, I think an hour long episode is too much. Actually, I saw it as like two episodes that aired back to back. The episode its self, I thought was kind of average. Then again, most first episodes are usually average.

Jim and Pam did end up together, though we didn't know right away. When I heard that they "weren't" dating, to quote Kevin, "Are you kidding me?!?" Hah! Kevin's a hardcore JAM fan! And you know that PB&J thing was a shoutout to JAM! It's good to see Jim and Pam happy, and they're so cute! I did think they forced it onto us a little too much, though. But after the roller coaster ride from last season, I'll take the fluffiness anytime!

If I'm concerned about anything, it's Dwight and Angela. I've had my ups and downs with Angela, but last night, she almost made me cry. I probably would have, if I wasn't watching with my mom, who is a big Office fan herself. Dwight, you ignorant slut! That whole deal disturbed me, greatly. If my boyfriend ever killed my cat, let's just say that there would be more than just bruises. I have a feeling that they're headed for break-up. She'll probably end up with Andy for a while. Which, by the way, his chafing problem totally cracked me up.

On to the miscellaneous matters of The Office. Did Micheal actually get stupider over the break, or what? He was way past his usual stupidity, last night. And Jan has become a total psycho-bitch. She's scaring me. I did love the part when Darryl was feeding the squirrel. Cute! Finally, I'm interested in seeing how Ryan handles the corporate job. He seems to be filling in the void where Jan left off, quite well to say the least. Stressed corporate employees.

I'll be brief about the death of Geneon. It really saddens me that one of the main industries ended up folding. I do think that part of it was that they had more niche titles, rather than some more popular ones to profit off of. I mean, I love Lupin III and Rozen Maiden (which I'll never be able to buy, now T_T), but I know they're nowhere near Naruto and Bleach in terms of popularity. Bad comparisons, I know! *rolls eyes*

I'm kind of starting to worry about the industry on the whole, now. I don't know what I'd do if Bandai, ADV, or FUNi folded. I'm more inclined to worry about the first two, since they have two of my current favorite series (Geass and Keroro). Besides, FUNi is pretty much leading the market, so I'm not too worried about them. All I know is, if that ever happened, um, "USO DA!", much? Heh, I'm not into Higurashi, and even I know about that. Well, I just hope that Geneon's library gets rescued from the other companies. It may be gone, but it's memory shall live on!

Finally, I have to say the obligatory congrats to Code Geass for winning the Anime Kobe Award for Best TV Anime. Good work, Sunrise!

Obsessive? Me? Nah!

God must love me today, because I'm having the best day ever! In other words, I got my Knight anthology today! ^__^ I already flipped through it, once, and I'm going over it again. I think my favorite story in it is the Orange-kun related one. I'm not sure why Kewell's kissing his ass so much, but it's funny. Then, Suzaku comes in with orange marmalade-filled onigiri. Apparently, it was a prank set up by Lloyd. (Of course!) At least, I'm assuming so. He seemed really enthused about Suzaku giving Orange-kun the onigiri. It could've been because Cecile made them, but whatever!

There was something minor that caught my eye in the first story. The council girls went out to do some shopping, and when they came back, Nina had some sort of Euphie figure in a bag. XD Oh Nina!

Speaking of merchandise, I saw that the new chibi voice i-dolls are out. I really want the C.C. one. Very cute, and says the "Ah...pizza..." line! I might get the Mecha Orange-kun one, if I feel like it. He says, "Ohayo gozaimashita." I wish they could've made him say something along the lines of "Orenjii janai...ZERO!!!" Also, I ordered the Chara Fortune clip of Lloyd, today! I've decided that he's going on my cell phone.

Anyhow, expect another update either tomorrow night, or sometime on Friday. Tomorrow's the premier of The Office, season four! Ah, it's been so long! And, from the looks of it, we're getting fan-service, courtesy of Michael and Jim. I was actually screaming, "Service! Service!". I've missed this show, especially Dwight. Yeah, me likes Dwight.

Okay, So I'm A Day Late With This...

Anyhow, A-Fest totally rocked, this year! I actually got to hang out with Jesse (one of my closest friends), my underclassman friend from high school came, and we both ran into our ex-boyfriend as well. (Long story, but he went out with me first, then her later) I was really happy to see them doing so well.

I managed to get some nice stuff, as well. One of which I have a long story to tell, but I'll get to that in a minute. The only downside on the shopping experience, was that doujinshi and Code Geass stuff was lacking. So, in short, I'm still a Hentai virgin. However, I have some places I could look into on-line.

Here's what I got:

-Giant Keroro hug pillow
-Uryu Ishida plushie (I had no idea that they made an Ishida plushie!)
-3-pack of Lupin the 3rd DVDs
-Volume 4 of GaoGaiGar (It had the Zonder-Sensei episode on it, and I'm quite impressed that they duplicated Penchinon's laugh so well!)
-Rozen Maiden keychains (Souseiseki, Hina-Ichigo, and Barasuishou)
-Keychain of a sushi-impersonating seal (It has a piece of shrimp on it's back, so cute!)
-Fanart Prints of Kyouya and the twins from Ouran
-Fan-made buttons of the Keroro Platoon
-Darkrai plushie (I really want to see that movie, by the way!)
-Kyouya plushie (I think he had a notebook in one hand, but it came off. I don't care, it's Kyouya!)
-3 packs of melon bread (I got everyone who tried it addicted, including my mom!)

Now, here's that story I have to tell. Beau Billingslea, the English voice actor for Jet Black of Cowboy Bebop, was at the convention. Now, Jesse and I are really big fans of him, Jesse especially. (I used to call Jesse, "Jetto") So, we ended up going to the panel that he, along with Quinton Flynn and Chris Ayers were doing. This was alone was a religious experience, for us. However, afterwards, we ran downstairs to get their autographs. I had my eye on a Cowboy Bebop artbook, since earlier. So, I frantically flipped through the artbooks, found it, and bought it. I ran over to the autograph line, and got the last place in line, purely by sheer luck! I had Quinton and Chris (who I loved as von Kampher in Trinity Blood) sign the back of my badge. And yes, I had Beau sign the pull-out poster in the artbook I had bought, like minutes before. I was completely zoned out in fan-ectasy for the rest of the night.

And Jesse? Heh, he was a few people ahead of me, and when he got up there, well...he was totally fangasming over Beau. No surprise there. He even got a picture taken with him! All in all, we met God. And if God were an anime character, Beau Billingslea would be the voice of God. End of story!

I think that's about it, for my report. If I remember anything else, I'll post later today. I have to get going to class here, in a few minutes.
